  • Stanley Raudys Obituary

    Stanley V. Raudys, 69, of Bridgewater, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at his home. He was the husband of Suzanne M. (Imprescia) Raudys for 20 years.

    Born January 24, 1950, in Brockton, MA he was a son of the late Stanley (Stasys) and Gertrude H. (Pieske) Raudys. Stanley was a graduate of Brockton High School and also attended Quincy College. He worked for the phone company, starting out with Bell Atlantic and AT&T. He worked for Verizon as an equipment installation technician for 42 years until his retirement.

    Stanley was a member of the Bertocci Club in Brockton and later became a member at the East Bridgewater Commercial Club. He was an avid New England Sports fan who enjoyed watching the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Stanley was known by his grandchildren as “Big Papi”.

    Stanley is survived by his wife, Suzanne M. (Imprescia) Raudys; his daughter Sabra Raudys and step children Stacey A. Smith and her husband Scott, and Paul G. Alles; his grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher, Daytona, Aubrey, Brooke, Chase, and Jaxson; his siblings, Michael Raudys, Esther Raudys, Maria Leonard and her husband Andrew and Patrick Cerci. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.


    Visiting hours will begin in the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater on Thursday, August 8th, at 3:00pm and conclude with a Service in the Funeral Home at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Stanley’s name to the American Diabetes Association at http://www.diabetes.org/donate/
