    I believe this discussion could lead to my being disciplined.  I therefore request that my union representative or officer be present to assist me at the meeting.  I further request reasonable time to consult with my union representative regarding the subject and purpose of the meeting.  Please consider this a continuing request; without representation I shall not participate in the discussion;  without representation I shall not participate in the discussion.  I shall not consent to any searches or tests affecting my person, property, or effects without first consulting with my union representatives.

    It is with deep sadness to announce that one of our brothers, Keith Travers-SST Fall River, has passed away.  His family is in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time. 

    The obituary and services are posted below.

    Rest In Peace Keith

    Keith David Travers, 47, of Fall River, beloved husband of Holly L. (Goisman) Travers, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital  February 9, 2022. 

    Born in Fall River, he was the son of David and Paula (Arruda) Travers.  

    Keith worked in the telecommunications industry for Verizon as  a Service Splice Technician for the past 25 years.  He was a member of B.M.C. Durfee High School Class of 1991 .

    He was a Maplewood Independent Baseball League  coach and board member for 7 years.

    In his earlier years he spent a lot of time playing basketball at the CYO.  He was known as a “foodie” and a fantastic cook. Keith adored his dog "Fenway" and his late dog "Reesey".

    Family was most important to Keith and he always treasured time with his two sons building Legos and watching football.  

    Besides his wife of 18 years, and his parents, he leaves two sons Aiden Keith Travers and Ethan James Travers; brother Adam Travers and his wife Sheri;  father-in-law and mother-in-law  Manuel Medeiros and Jerri Goisman; sisters-in-law  Rachel Goisman,Christine Medeiros, Cynthia Medeiros and  Deborah Cloutier; brothers-in-law James Goisman, Scott Medeiros and Ronald Medeiros; a cousin who was like a brother, Joshua Arruda; nieces and nephews Chayla Travers (Goddaughter), Brody Travers, Marrisa Thibault and Evlyn Vallee; a Godson Alexander Carvalho; and many close friends.  He was the grandson of the late Antone and Eliza (Pimental) Arruda and John B. and Helen (Pacheco) Travers.

    A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022,  from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM with a funeral service at 4:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, MA.  Burial will be private.

    In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift in Keith’s memory to the American Heart and Stroke Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
