It is with deep sadness to announce that one of our brothers, Peter Howlett-COT, has passed away. His family is in our thoughts and prayers in this difficult time.

Howlett, Peter J., of Middleboro, formerly of Avon, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the age of 50. Son of the late George C. and Kathleen S. (Malone) Howlett. Beloved brother of Celeste A. McNamara and her husband Brian of Randolph, Kathleen M. Cartwright and her husband Scott of Holbrook, Brian J. Howlett and his wife Cathryn of Canton, his twin Erin M. DiCenzo and her husband Jeff of Mansfield, and the late George M. Howlett.
Loving uncle of Lauren Buoniconti and her husband Brian, Scott Cartwright and his longtime companion Vasilis Ioannou, Emily Cartwright, PhD and her husband Ryan Martinez, MD, PhD, Patrick McNamara, Christopher McNamara, Andrew Howlett, Julianna Howlett, Emma Howlett, Ryan DiCenzo, Danielle DiCenzo, and Erin DiCenzo and his grand-niece Zoe Buoniconti grand-nephews Owen Buoniconti and Jonas Martinez. Also survived by his beloved dog Marley, an uncle and many cousins.
Peter was born in Brockton, MA, grew up in Avon and graduated from Blue Hill Regional High School, Class of 1990. He worked as a Verizon Central Office Technician for the past 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, photography, his trips to car shows and Drag Racing. He also enjoyed restoring his 1970 Cutlass, riding his Quad, and attending concerts. His greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends, especially the nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, March 11th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St., Holbrook. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 12th at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, Avon. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the M.S.P.C.A., MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130, or to the charity of your choice.
